01/ before commissioning
Compare the scope behind the monthly fee.
Our published starting price is for a scoped engagement. To compare proposals, ask each supplier to describe the same work: the audience, campaign or journey, channels, production volume and reporting period. A lower fee attached to fewer responsibilities is a different offer.
Write down who supplies the member data, checks permissions, approves copy and publishes changes. Confirm whether platform configuration, creative production and website development are included or need a separate owner. Record dependencies before choosing a launch date.
Ask for the deliverable you will review, not only the activity being sold. For example, an onboarding project can specify the audience rules, messages, test cases and handover record. Agree the acceptance checks in the proposal; their inclusion should not be assumed from a package name.
Keep agency fees, media spend and other third-party costs on separate lines. Ask how changes to scope are agreed and what access, files and reporting definitions you receive at handover. These are commissioning questions, rather than additional contract terms on this page. Use the agency comparison guide to record each answer.
